Pearl of Africa Safari — 15 days

Where: Bwindi Impenetrable Forest, Queen Elizabeth Nationla Park, Kibale National Park, Murchison Falls National Park.

Day 1 ~ Upon your arrival to Entebbe, the Ujuzi team escorts you back to Imperial Beach Hotel.

Day 2 ~ Fly to Arua and visit the Arua market, where you can order tailor-made clothing in traditional fabrics. Overnight at the Slumberland Guest House.

Day 3 ~ Take part in a community service project in the morning, then spend the afternoon learning how to prepare traditional Ugandan foods. Enjoy them for dinner while listening to live, local music, followed by a presentation on traditional musical instruments. Overnight at the Slumberland Guest House.

Day 4 ~ Depart for Murchison Falls National Park. En route, tour the hospital and health center in Kuluva. After lunch, visit the top of Murchison Falls. Overnight at the Nile Safari Lodge.

Day 5 ~ Start the day with a game drive and finish it with a launch cruise on the Nile. Overnight at the Nile Safari Lodge.

Day 6 ~ Depart for Fort Portal town. Stop en route for a picnic lunch. Overnight at Kluge’s Guest Farm.

Day 7 ~ Walk in Kibale National Park to watch primates, followed by a visit to the Bigodi Wetland Sanctuary, administered by the Kibale Association for Rural and Economic Development. After lunch, choose either a nature or village walk. Overnight at Kluge’s Guest Farm.

Day 8 ~ Visit the Toro kingdom, including the king’s palace and royal tombs. Learn about Toro culture, beliefs, and way of life. Depart for Queen Elizabeth National Park. Overnight at Mweya Safari Lodge.

Day 9 ~ Begin the day with a game drive, followed by a boat cruise down the Kazinga Channel in the afternoon. Overnight at Mweya Safari Lodge.

Day 10 ~ Trek in the Kyambura Gorge, where you will observe chimpanzees. After lunch, you will take a cultural tour to the nearby Katwe community and the salt pans. Overnight at Mweya Safari Lodge.

Day 11 ~ Depart for Ishasha Plains, the southern part of Queen Elizabeth National Park, and take a game drive en route on the northern circuit. After lunch, spend some time at your leisure, followed by a game drive at dusk. Overnight at Ishasha Wilderness Camp.

Day 12 ~ Visit the Nyaka Orphanage for service and community activities en route to Bwindi Impenetrable Forest. Overnight at Lake Katandara Bwindi Camp.

Day 13 ~ Begin day with a trek to visit the mountain gorillas.  You will have a picnic lunch in the forest followed by an optional bird or nature walk. Visit the Bwindi Orphanage for a dance and drama performance.  Overnight at Lake Katandara Bwindi Camp.

Day 14 ~ Take a guided walk through the Bwindi community where you will visit a local handcraft shop run by women, where revenue supports a school and orphanage. Visit tea plantations, a banana distillery, and traditional medicine healer, then dance with the Batwa (Pygmy) community. Overnight at Lake Katandara Bwindi Camp.

Day 15 ~ Fly to Entebbe. Transfer to Tanzania for Tour Extensions, or return to the United States.
