Mountain Gorilla and Chimp Trek — 7 days
Where: Bwindi Impenetrable Forest and Queen Elizabeth National Park
Type of Travel Experience: This package offers you the magical experience of visiting our distant cousins, the mountain gorillas and chimpanzees. You will also see dozens of other birds and large mammals during game drives and a boat cruse.
Day 1 ~ Arrive Entebbe in evening. Overnight at the Golf View Inn
Day 2 ~ Depart for Bwindi Impenetrable forest with a stopover break at the equator and in Mbarara for lunch. Dinner and overnight at Buhoma Lodge.
Day 3 ~ Begin day with a trek to visit the mountain gorillas. You will have a picnic lunch in the forest followed by an optional bird or nature walk. Visit the Bwindi Orphanage for a dance and drama performance. Dinner and overnight at Buhoma Lodge.
Day 4 ~ Depart for Queen Elizabeth National Park. En route stop at the Ishasha Wilderness Camp for lunch, followed by a game drive in search for tree climbing lions. Proceed to Jacana Lodge for dinner and overnight.
Day 5 ~ Track chimps at Kyambura Gorge. Lunch at Mweya Lodge. Afternoon boat cruise on the Kazinga Channel.
Day 6 ~ Return to Kampala. Lunch en route. Dinner and overnight at the Golf View Inn.
Day 7 ~ Depart for next destination or return home.
