Type of Travel Experience: Customized for the traveler who has limited time, but wants to visit the mountain gorillas, arguably the most exciting wildlife encounter in Africa.
Experience the thrill of coming upon a family of gorillas going about their daily activities in the undergrowth of Bwindi Impentrable Forest. The gorillas live in groups of eight to 25 members and a family scene is captivating: mothers with babies hanging on their chests, youngsters playing more than foraging, and the patriarch (known as the silverback) totally focused on eating.
Day 1 ~ Upon your evening arrival to Entebbe, you will be escorted you back to Imperial Beach Hotel.
Day 2 ~ Depart/Drive for Bwindi. Stop for lunch along the way - overnight at Lake Kitandara Bwindi Camp.
Day 3 ~ Begin day with a trek to visit the mountain gorillas. You will have a picnic lunch in the forest followed by an optional bird or nature walk. Visit the Bwindi Orphanage for a dance and drama performance - overnight at Lake Kitandara Bwindi Camp.
Day 4 ~ Return/Drive to Entebbe. Stop for lunch along the way - overnight at Imperial Botanical Hotel.
Day 5 ~ Depart for next destination or return home.
