Instructor: Julie Fisher is a Romana's Pilates certified instructor. She began her Pilates studies began at age 13 with Carola Trier (Joseph Pilates' first protégé) while studying at the School of American Ballet. She continued her studies with many other Pilates pioneers, such as Robert Fitzgerald, Peter Vaillancourt, Sari Meija Santo, and the most prestigious protégé of today, Romana Kryzanowska, with whom she ultimately received her Certification. She also has a B.S. in Health Education, minor in Dance and became certified as a personal trainer in 1992. She is qualified to teach in over 300 Pilates studios internationally, Frankfurt Germany being the first she experienced outside the U.S. with Mayra Rodriguez de Matthews. She loves to teach and enjoys the journey together with her clients as they advance and improve their health and well-being. Julie especially loves to watch clients grow from their initial experience of what may have begun as a chore to a lifestyle.

Instructor: Julie Gustafson is a Classically Trained Pilates Instructor through the Romana system but uses the teachings of several master teachers to identify what each individual person and body needs. Julie worked under the supervision of a chiropractor and physical therapist for nearly 7 years. She studied at the University of Washington and hails from Minnesota. As an adventurer, Julie has lived all over the United States and now through her Pilates work, finds herself living and teaching in London. She finds great joy in seeing her clients learn new things about their bodies and the inevitable transformation that happens when a person makes the time for movement and Pilates.

July 31 – August 10, 2012


Instructor: Jill Wolf has been involved in health and bodywork for more than 20 years. Initially a massage therapist, Jill is a graduate of the highly esteemed, classically-based Pilates Center in Boulder, CO, and has gone on to study many of the other lineages of the Pilates Method from several second-generation teachers. Jill has taught all over the U.S. and now teaches at Freedom Physical Therapy. She has a passion for travel that meets her passion for health, fitness and wellness. She traveled to Kenya in 2006 and has also been to regions in northern Africa and Asia.

September 18 – 27, 2012


Instructor: Mona Melms has held a variety of professional health and fitness positions in the public and private sectors. Her appointments included time spent as a labor and delivery nurse, a nursing staff educator, a community health educator and a Quality Improvement Specialist. She has also worked in academic settings at the University of Wisconsin Medical College including roles as Director of Aerobic Fitness for the Department of Preventive Medicine and as a project specialist for the Department of Psychiatry. Throughout her professional nursing career she always dabbled in the fitness industry by teaching classes at several Madison area fitness centers and continues to teach at the UW Sports Medicine Center. Mona founded melt, a boutique-studio in Madison, WI, as a place for personalized care and service for each client and also to share what she loves best about fitness, the ability to transform the mind body and spirit.
